Hearts, Hands, and Hope solves food insecurity for children and families in Seminole County — not just for a night, but for good. Through our Three Phase Program, we meet immediate food needs while building the education and employment pathways families need to reach lasting stability.
We meet families where they already are. Our food bags go directly to schools, where Seminole County Public Schools staff — principals, social workers, and the Families in Need Program — identify children already approved for free and reduced-price meals, along with kids showing signs of food insecurity like irregular attendance or hunger-related behavior changes.
From there, we don’t stop at food. Every family in our program has a path to healthcare careers through Orlando Health and to stable employment through CareerSource of Central Florida — so a food bag isn’t just relief, it’s the first step toward a family never needing one again.
Every week, we pack and deliver bags containing 14 nutritious meals directly to food-insecure children and families across Seminole County — ensuring no child goes hungry over the weekend or during school breaks, when access to school meals disappears.
Through our six-year partnership with Orlando Health, families gain access to entry-level healthcare jobs starting day one, along with full tuition reimbursement for medical-field training — earning income and credentials at the same time, without taking on educational debt
Through our partnership with CareerSource of Central Florida, teens and caregivers receive career placement services, resume and interview preparation, and skills training — moving families from food assistance to dignified, lasting employment.
Hearts, Hands, and Hope is a solution to food insecurity for children and families through our Three Phase Program — providing food support, free education, and employment to move families from crisis to lasting stability.
We envision a Central Florida where no child goes hungry, and every family that walks through our doors leaves with the stability to stay that way. Hearts, Hands, and Hope will become the region’s model for solving food insecurity at its root — expanding our Three Phase Program to reach more schools and neighborhoods, while helping hundreds of families each year move permanently from crisis to self-sufficiency.
