It starts with food...

Since 2016...

The Hearts, Hands, and Hope Food Bag Program launched in 2016 and is the first phase of our Three Phase Program.  We deliver food bags weekly to children in Seminole County who are considered food insecure. Children who are eligible to receive free or reduced lunches often go hungry when school is not in session. The HHH Food Bag Program fills that gap, so children have regular access to food.

Participants in the School Bag Program are privately identified and referred to HHH through school personnel such as teachers and social workers. The Program provides each student with a bag every week that contains enough food for fourteen nutritious meals, so the children have sufficient food over the weekend. Each bag is estimated to serve 4-6 people. Over the past five  years, Hearts, Hands, and Hope has expanded the Food Bag Program each year and has delivered more than 1 million meals.

The Hearts, Hands and Hope Food Bag Program currently supports twelves sites in Seminole County:

  • Altamonte Elementary
  • Endeavor School
